What areas do you cover?

We primarly cover The Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and the Lothians. We often work outside these areas on request


I live in a conservation area.  Can you help me find the best windows for my house?

Yes. We can offer the right advice and arrange Planning Permission from the Local Authority on your behalf.


Do I need a Building Warrant  to build a conservatory?

In most cases, in Scotland, the answer is yes. We can handle all the paperwork for you.


Will I be able to use my conservatory all year round?

Yes. All our conservatories are fully insulated to current Building Regulations and can be used in all seasons.


What styles of windows do you have?

We can offer every style of  window from Casements, Tilt 'n' Turns, H windows and Sash and Case, suitable for traditional or modern buildings. For more information visit the Our Product section on the website.


What material are your windows made from?

We have Timber, PVCu and  thermally-broken Aluminium windows. For further details visit the Our Products section on the website.


What colour are your handles?

All our handles are locking type and available in white, gold, or silver colours. We have a selection available to view in our showcentre in Galashiels.


How long does it take after I place an order?

Our salesman can advise you of this, depending on our fitting schedule at the time.


Will there be much mess when I have my new windows installed?

We aim for minimum disturbance.  Great care will be taken with your home and our fitters leave your home in immaculate condition.


Can you replace my steamed up double glazing units?

Yes. Failed double glazed units are easily replaced with the minimum of fuss. They can even be upgraded with more energy efficient ones.


Do you offer free quotations?

Yes. Our salesman will visit your home and give you a no-obligation quotation.


Do you take deposits?

No deposits are taken for windows and doors. A 10% deposit is taken for a conservatory and this is covered by the GGF Indemnity Fund (a guarantee for your deposit).


Where can I see your products?

An extensive selection of our products can be viewed in our showcentre in Galashiels; on the website under Our Products; by requesting a brochure; or samples can be viewed when a member of our team visits your home.

When are you open?

We are open Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm and 8 am to 12pm on Saturdays. A member of our team can also arrange to meet you at the showcentre at a more convenient time for you.
