Experienced Window Installer

R. Mitchell Glass are hiring an Experienced Window Fitter on a permanent, full time basis working from our Galashiels Factory and travelling over the Borders, Edinburgh and the Lothians. This is an opportunity for the right individual to form a valuable part of our hard working, family run organisation and bring their own personal skills into the company whilst further developing their own career on a wide and varying level within the Glass & Glazing Industry.


  • Install a wide range of windows and doors efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Measuring and cutting materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any client enquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Meeting deadlines and ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Punctuality and reliability in all aspects of work.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.


  • Proven experience as a window and door installer including a range of materials such as timber and PVC.
  • Experience working to the Glass & Glazing Federation Guidelines (although not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Competent in using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A full and current driving licence.

Job Type: Full Time
Hours: 39 per week
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience


  • Full training and professional development.
