They’re multi-purpose spaces, so you can use them however best suits your lifestyle, whether that’s as a luxury lounge area or extravagant dining spot. Over the years, Mitchell Glass has designed and installed hundreds of living spaces, so there’s no-one better to oversee the project. It won’t be difficult finding an home extension that neatly suits the style, size, structure and colour of your property. The alignment of the design, inside and out, will be perfectly in tune too.

Conservatory, orangery or house extension?

While it’s difficult to emulate the appearance of your house with a conservatory design, we can very easily ensure that your chosen conservatory complements its look. Each conservatory we sell has a high volume of glass, so you can expect to get a magnificent external view from the interior.

Orangeries, on the other hand, are designed to look like extensions of a house, being heavily inspired by the surroundings they’re being integrated into. Because an orangery is largely made up of brickwork, as opposed to glass, you’re granted more privacy in an orangery than a conservatory.

If you want a solid roof or are looking to replace an old conservatory, a house extension is probably your best bet. To compensate for any loss of natural light, just include some roof windows, which will help you keep the space well-ventilated during the warm summer months.

Bring brightly coloured cushions and rugs into your extension to make it feel wonderfully bright on a sunny day.
