Being February and the month of Valentine’s Day, we thought we’d tell you two real-life tales of how home adoration was revived upon the introduction of a new Mitchell Glass living space at the properties of the Cartwrights and Morleys.
They’re both utterly smitten with their residences again and it’s the extensions fitted by us to thank for that.
Catering for an enhanced dining experience
An eight-year-long occupancy of their house had left the Cartwrights with very little space left to expand their home lifestyle, so they explored how they could grow the property.
It encompassed a kitchen-diner, but being great foodies, they saw value in having an exclusive area for dining which they visualised as offering a light and airy atmosphere to mimic an outdoor vibe.
A trip was made to our showroom and by a stroke of luck, there was a perfect-sized glass roof conservatory on display that they could heavily customise.
One well-rounded installation company
“Different to some of the installers we encountered when shopping around for ideas, Mitchell Glass could handle all elements of installation without needing to rely on additional tradespeople.
“Their design advisors came across as extremely knowledgeable too, alleviating any hint of doubt we had over whether they were up to doing a good enough job.
“The conservatory has a high glass ratio, but that thankfully never causes an internal chill, and with spring coming, we find it a lovely spot for having a Sunday morning coffee.”
A closer bond with new home surroundings
The Morleys purchased their house partly on the basis of it having enough space to extend further down the line, a course of action they took once told they were expecting a new baby.
In their minds, it entailed the inclusion of an open plan lounge/living/kitchen area so that cooking and entertaining could occur in one location, with room for the family’s latest addition to play.
Reaching out to us for assistance, we headed to the house and did a survey of the logical destination for the extension, before they then came to our showroom to get to work on designing it.
Technology that left them transfixed
“We had no idea software existed that allowed you to see a realistic impression of the inside and outside of the final glass roof orangery viewed in 360 degrees actually fitted onto the house. It blew us away!
“Mitchell Glass worked fast, finishing the orangery only six weeks after we signed contracts, and took responsibility for everything, including building regulations.
“It gains a wonderful amount of natural light in the day, giving it a vibrant ambience, and does so without overheating. There’s no better place to watch our child playing in the garden.”
