Ready Your Home For Winter With Mitchell Glass

The past few months has seen very few price increases amongst many of our major energy companies but if rumours are to be believed that is all likely to change very shortly. The Daily Mail has speculated in the past few days that British Gas and E.ON are set to announce a hike in energy costs taking effect in the New Year. Seeing as January and February are two of the coldest months of the year this will come as a bitter blow to those living in a property with windows that do not provide correct insulation. Old ageing windows are regularly responsible for a huge amount of the heat that passes out of our homes and the cold draughts that make their way inside.
Finding a cheaper energy tariff, if you haven’t already done so, will also be difficult at the beginning of 2013 as most suppliers usually offer such packages during the warmer months. But that does not mean that you cannot do something to prevent your household becoming cold and being charged a fortune in energy bills.

Mitchell Glass strongly recommend that you look into installing new windows, namely aluminium windows in Edinburgh, aluminium windows in Hawick or aluminium windows in Musselburgh as they can save you money and keep you and the family warm this winter.
The strength and durability of aluminium will ensure that nothing can pass through it so each time you turn on your heating you need not worry about any of it escaping and being wasted unnecessarily. It is also capable of maintaining its appearance in any weather which is just as well when you live in Scotland.
We also stock several other forms of window all of which can be seen and explored at our Galashiels showroom so come down and join us.
